The secret of TRU-Infrared™ technology lies in the way the heat is transferred.

In conventional grills, the heat is not distributed evenly and therefore cooks at different speeds. These work with convection currents, in which heat is transferred through the air.

Moreover, there is an additional problem: The heated air removes moisture from the food and then simply evaporates. However, with TRU-Infrared™ technology this does not happen, as the air circulation is reduced.

The patented infrared emitter converts the heat from the circulating air into radiant heat, which is then emitted directly and evenly onto the grill.

In a simple way, when the gas from the burner reaches the small holes in the grate, it slows down abruptly because it cannot pass quickly through such small holes. This slowing down makes it possible to transfer the heat to the metal, and a radiant surface is formed inside.

In this process, temperatures between 600 ºF and 800 ºF can be reached. The heat rise is done at a slow rate and therefore does not dry out the food. This ensures more moisture, and significantly improves the taste and texture of the food.
