Dedicate an hour of your life to the Planet!
Earth Hour is a movement that unites millions of people around the world as a way to demonstrate their commitment to the well-being of the planet.
On March 25th, from 8:30pm to 9:30pm, "turn off" and join this initiative by WWF - World Wide Fund for Nature Inc., a non-governmental organization that works to preserve nature and reduce human impact on the environment.
This global movement started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, and takes place every year on the last Saturday of March. Since the beginning, the goal of this initiative has been essentially to raise awareness among the population about the need to acquire habits that don't harm the environment.
The success of Earth Hour was immediate from the first minute, with the participation of 2.2 million people and more than two thousand companies that turned off their lights for an hour to take a stand against climate changes.
This year, more than ever, union makes the difference!
Earth Hour is more than just a time when the lights are turned off. It's a time to reflect on the human impact on the environment and take action to reduce our ecological footprint. During Earth Hour, people are encouraged to adopt more sustainable behaviors such as turning off lights when leaving a room, using public transportation instead of private cars, and reducing meat and dairy consumption.
To mark this symbolic moment of reflection on climate change, everyone is encouraged to dedicate 60 minutes of their time to do something positive for the planet.
Simple gestures that help save the planet:
- Turn off lights and any unnecessary electronic devices for an hour
- Pick up trash in a park
- Reduce consumption of meat and dairy products
- Plant a tree
- Use public transport or walk/bike more often
- Reduce consumption of disposable packaging
Nature needs our action!
Earth Hour is an opportunity to raise awareness, join forces and take more conscious actions to face this global challenge. Join millions of people around the world and show your commitment to Nature.
Remember: small actions in your daily life can make a big difference when it comes to protecting the environment. Join this initiative, and use the Earth Hour motto to contribute to a more sustainable future.
