Nutella is, without a doubt, a temptation for children and adults, but it’s poorly healthy. With chocolate and hazelnut flavour, the most popular chocolate cream in the world is mostly made of sugar and palm oil. This oil gives it the creamy texture, great for spreading on bread. But if you often put it in your children's snack, you’re not giving them the best option. Don’t worry! Your kids are not going to stop eating that Nutella bread they love so much. There’s already a homemade Nutella (and much healthier than the original). In&Out Cooking gives you the ultimate recipe to try and believe us when we say it’s as tasty as the original.
Homemade Nutella Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups of blanched hazelnuts;
4 tablespoons of chocolate powder (you can choose lean chocolate powder because it has no added sugar);
4 tablespoons of honey, date syrup or coconut sugar;
4 tablespoons of coconut oil;
A pinch of salt.
Preparation:
Place the hazelnuts in a board and bake at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
Then, remove them from the oven and let them cool.
When cool, grind them in a food processor until it is in the form of flour.
Still on the food processor stage, add coconut oil and let it mix until you get a soft cream.
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix for about 10 minutes.
The cream is ready when it gets smooth and velvety (it may take longer, depending on the machine you are using);
Place in a glass jar and let it rest in the fridge.
Suggestion: You can leave some whole hazelnuts to make your Nutella more crispy.
