New Year, a more organized house?

Exercise, eat healthier, travel, be more organized… These are certainly the most common New Year's resolutions.

We’re aware that the organization of the house (or its absence) influences the mood of the people who live in it, so we have put together some tips to help end the chaos that easily spreads across all rooms.

  • Set a routine

An organized house requires a daily or weekly sequential process, in which all the elements are arranged in a harmonious way.

Some people prefer to set a day a week to devote only to cleaning, however, this plan has flaws, particularly in families with young children. Since, after a few days, a new intervention may be necessary.

The secret involves daily cleaning and organization, and this requires commitment and discipline from all members of the household.

  • Face reality

Don't hide everything in a closet or drawer with the promise that you'll tidy up later. Taking care of clothes is one of the household chores that causes the most disturbance in many families, but it is essential to do it.

Make the effort to tidy it up right away. Don't ‘throw’ away your clothes into a corner when you get home. Avoid forming piles of clothes.

Have a laundry basket in strategic places to avoid having clothes lying around on the floor. Joseph Joseph laundry baskets are perfect for storing in the bathroom, bedroom, or laundry room. Its elegant outer fabric is designed to match a wide variety of decor styles.

In the kitchen, do not let the dishes accumulate in the sink. Implement the rule of washing and tidying up after each meal.

  • Practice material detachment

Pay attention to the environment that surrounds you. Do you really need everything you have at home, or are there objects that can be disposed of or given away? Free yourself from the unnecessary material load.

  • A 'house' for each object

Ensure that all objects have a defined storage place. This contributes to a house that is always tidy and for the whole household to know where to put them.

Invest in versatile baskets and organizers, as they are the best way to store a wide range of materials. Such as cleaning and food products, cosmetics, among others.

Also, choose organizers not only for their functionality but also for their aesthetics. The harmony between the color palette of the different objects in your home conveys a greater sense of organization.
