Rogan Josh Chicken, a real delicacy for spicy lovers

This meat dish has Persian origin and is a great idea for any spicy lover. Learn this easy, quick and delicious Rogan Josh chicken recipe that will impress even the most doubtful! 

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 diced onion;
  • 1 cinnamon stick or 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon;
  • 4 Indian cloves (optional);
  • 3 very thin or crushed grated garlic cloves;
  • 1 piece of freshly grated ginger;
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon of black pepper (you can add other peppers if you enjoy spicy food);
  • 2 teaspoons of cumin seeds;
  • 2 teaspoons of ground coriander;
  • 2 teaspoons milled turmeric;
  • 2 teaspoons of garam masala;
  • 800 g of chicken breast cut into small pieces;
  • 400 g of peeled tomatoes cut into pieces;
  • Salt;
  • 2-3 tablespoons of chopped coriander leaves (save a few leaves to garnish the dish);
  • Plain rice or cauliflower rice for side dish.


How to make this Rogan Josh chicken

1st step

Start by spreading 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large, deep pan and add the sliced ​​onion, the cinnamon, cardamom and the cloves. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for about 5 minutes until the onions soften.

2nd step

3rd step

Thereafter, wrap everything and let it fry with the uncovered pan for another 2 minutes. If it begins to dry, add a little water to the mixture.
