Buuuuh!
There's a magical night in October that deserves to be celebrated with an amazing spooky dinner. We're talking about Halloween, of course. For fans of this celebration, it's the perfect opportunity to invite friends over for a themed dinner at home.
In this article, we'll give you some tips for creating an unforgettable evening, from table decorations to fun recipes. Get into the Halloween spirit!
Spooky decor
The key to an impactful Halloween dinner is in the decoration. Start in the entrance hall, with small decorative touches and extend this decoration to the living room, whether on the walls, shelves or sideboards. We suggest carved pumpkins or decorations such as spider webs, bats and small witches' cauldrons. Let your imagination run wild!
It's at the table that everything happens. It should perfectly reflect the theme, both in its decoration and in the dishes used. And why not do it with a touch of dark elegance? Since black is one of the most predominant colors in this type of celebration, serve your guests with Asa Selection tableware.
Don't forget the placemats! These accessories are easy to combine with different utensils and create a special setting for the table decoration.
For a more minimalist aesthetic, serve your party appetizers on these plates from Asa Selection's Coppa Kuro range. With the matte shine of each piece, you can create an elegant look on your Halloween table. We suggest serving sausage mummies as a starter. Your guests will love it!
Ingredients:
Puff pastry
Sausages
1 beaten egg
Mayonnaise
Olives
Barbecue sauce
Method of preparation: Cut the puff pastry into strips about 2 cm wide and roll each strip into a sausage, leaving room for the eyes. Brush with beaten egg and bake at 180 °C (356 ºF) for 20 minutes. Make eyes with mayonnaise and olive pieces. Serve with barbecue sauce on the side.
Trick or treat?
Save the traditional treats to offer to anyone who knocks on your door, or even for the party guests to serve themselves, in an original way.

½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup wheat flour

½ cup milk
½ tbsp baking powder

200g icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
200g cold butter

For the buttercream: Cook the sugar and egg whites in a bain-marie. Cook, stirring constantly, until the temperature reaches 60 °C (140 ºF). Transfer the mixture to a bowl and beat until stiff. Add the butter and beat again until stiff. Mix in the food coloring and transfer the cream to a piping bag. Cover the cooled cupcake and decorate to taste!
It’s not a Halloween dinner party without themed drinks. Check out our Bloody Mary recipe and prepare a delicious cocktail for your guests.
