There's no wrong way to celebrate World Nutella Day, but we have a deliciously irresistible suggestion for you. Make Nutella and hazelnut crêpes!
World Nutella Day has been celebrated since 2007. The idea came from Sara Rosso, a US blogger living in Italy at the time, who fell in love with the unique taste of Nutella. She took the initiative to challenge the brand's fan community to celebrate February 5th as the World Nutella Day, a concept that quickly thrilled Nutella lovers all over the world.
On this day entirely dedicated to this wonderful chocolate and hazelnut spread, Nutella fans are encouraged to share recipes, take photos, write songs or poems. In essence, to do something that involves Nutella.
On bread, with a scoop, in desserts, with fruit, with fingers... What's your favorite way to eat Nutella? Try our suggestion and enjoy the crêpes while they're still warm!
Difficulty: Medium
Time: 35 minutes
Amount: 4 crêpes
Ingredients
Dough:
3 eggs
250 g unleavened flour
15 g butter
220 ml milk
Filling:
60 g Nutella (15g/portion)
50 g roasted hazelnuts
Method of preparation
Two bowls are needed to make this recipe: one to mix the milk and flour, and another to beat the eggs and butter. After mixing the contents of both bowls, let the dough rest for 15 minutes at room temperature.
Grease a frying pan with absorbent paper moistened with oil. Heat the frying pan and pour a little dough into it, making crêpes with a diameter of approximately 26 cm. Cook the crêpes on both sides until they are evenly firm.
Spread the crêpes with Nutella and fold them like a fan. Place the crêpes on individual plates and decorate with chopped hazelnuts. Bon appétit!
