Chrysanthemum, is an ancient and elegant flower, and most popular in autumn. Loaded with cultural significance and a strong symbolism, these plants become absolute protagonists.
Originally the chrysanthemums are yellow in color, and so their Greek name - given by Carolus Linnaeus - means 'golden flower'. Linked to the sun, the flower is often associated with the nobility. Taken from China to Japan by Buddhists, the Emperor's own throne was known as the 'Chrysanthemum Throne.' It was in Europe in the seventeenth century, due to genetic changes that nowadays it is possible to find purple, red, white, pink and orange chrysanthemums.
